Vapor Re-Compressors

Home / Vapor Re-Compressors

Vapor re-compressors, also known as vapor recompression or vapor compression systems, are devices used in various industrial processes to improve energy efficiency and reduce operating costs, especially in evaporation and distillation applications. These systems are designed to recompress vapor generated during the process and use it as a heat source to aid in further evaporation or distillation, rather than venting it or condensing it completely.  The basic principle of vapor re-compressors involves compressing the low-pressure vapor from the evaporator or distillation process, raising its temperature and pressure, and then reintroducing it back into the process to provide additional heat for further vaporization. This approach reduces the demand for external heat sources, such as steam or hot water, resulting in significant energy savings.
